When you return to the Lake of Nine, row beneath the head of the World Serpent to find the entrance to Fafnir’s Storeroom, aptly named Fafnir’s Ravine.

Once on shore, look up at the tip of the wooden crane to find an Eye of Odin. Pick up the hacksilver pouch near the corpse and vault over the small ledge. To the left is a wooden wall that you may break with a hacksilver chest on the other side. Crouch under the rocks to find a light crystal. Have Atreus shoot the crystal with a light arrow to form a bridge. Pick up the hacksilver pouch then go talk to Sindri at his shop.

In the green, open area just past Sindri’s shop look up to spot another one of the Eyes of Odin. Crouch through the tunnel straight ahead and you’ll arrive in a open area in the woods. On a branch to the left, near the waterfall, is another Eye of Odin. Cut the raven down and then climb up the small ledge.

Up top is a band of fire-toting Draugrs and Nightmares. Kill them all to clear the woods outside Fafnir’s Storeroom itself. With the monsters dead, go to the right side to find a Nornir Chest. Two of the three bells needed to unlock the chest are behind it to the left and right, respectively.

The third is off to the left at the top of the waterfall. Throw your axe into the lone bell first and then quickly ring the two near the chest. With the chest unlocked, you may grab the Horn of Blood Mead inside.

To the left of the entrance is a small wall that you may climb up. At the top is a coffin with Soft Svartalheim Steel and World Serpent Scales inside. At the top of the entrance to the storeroom is another Eye of Odin, so make sure to chop it down before going inside.

The inside Fafnir’s Storeroom has a small pedestal in the center with four rooms off to the sides. No bridges connect these rooms to the center (yet). Pick up the "Don’t Blink" treasure map near the corpse in the center and kill the Eye of Odin circling above.

Pop the entry stone Sindri gave you into the pedestal to raise one bridge out of the ground. The remainder of this quest is clearing out combat encounters in each room. Once cleared, you grab another one of Fafnir’s Entry Stones and can push forward to the next room.

In the first room there are two heavy Draugrs, one at level four and the other at level three. There are a couple of fire jars in the room that you could break to cause massive damage to the monsters if they are near. Be concious of which attack you can parry and which you need to dodge. When both enemies fall, pick up the entry stone and return to the pedestal.

Kill the Draugrs that surprise attack you and then drop the stone in the pedestal to gain access to the second room. Beyond the door, you will find three Revears and a poisonous cloud on the floor; The large Reaver is level five, while the other two are level three.

The source of the poison is on the ceiling, which you may freeze if you want full range of the area to fight with your fists. There is enough room to keep your axe though, if you wish. When the Reavers are dead, grab the entry stone and loot and return once again to the pedestal.

Video Time Stamps Part 2:

05:30 - Coffin - Loot 06:57 - Legendary Chest 08:18 - Fafnir’s Hoard Boss Fight
11:52 - Boss Fight Loot 14:37 - Forest Ancient Boss Fight 17:17 - Forest Ancient Loot

The third room houses two level four Revenants. Rush in and deal as much stun damage to the first Revenant so you may perform an execution on it before the second Revenant appears. This will allow you to always focus on one enemy at a time and not get overwhelmed by their poison attacks. When you kill them, pick up any loot and the entry stone.

The fourth room is like a wolves den. There is one level five white wolf and six level four wolves that come in groups of three. Use area runic attacks to keep the pack back and pick them off one by one. When the wolves are down for the count, open the coffin to the right for more Soft Svartalheim Steel and World Serpent Scales. Pick up the final Fafnir Entry Stone and plop it in the pedestal.

Cross the bridge to enter an arena of sorts. There is a legendary chest off to the right. Inside is the light runic attack "Wrath of the Frost Ancient." There is a Reaver Spirit at the end of the room. When you talk to the spirit you learn that he was killed by his own son and that the son took the whetstone you came to find. Despite this betrayal, the spirit will not help you track his own son down. Kratos takes the knife in his back and turns to leave.

As you leave, two Ogres drop down from above. Dodge their slam attacks and focus on building up one Ogre’s stun meter so you can climb onto its back and deliver some heavy blows to the other. Keep them both in sight and use the pillars for defense. Don’t forget Atreus and his arrows to help distract the Ogres!

With the dagger in hand, leave the storeroom and return to Sindri’s shop. On your way out, there will be a Forest Ancient roaming around. It will not attack unless you provoke it. If you decide to take down the Ancient, you can collect Ancient parts for the Ancient armor set.

Optional Fight: Forest Ancient

The Forest Ancient shoots fireballs and a beam of dire out of its chest (which seems dangerous for the forest). Use trees to block its line of sight and to hit its exposed chest during its attacks. This will cause chunks of rock to pop off the monster. Throw these into the Ancient to quickly build its stun meter and deal massive damage. When stunned, land a couple heavy hits or toss extra rocks at the Ancient before clicking R3 to grab ahold of the beast. This allows you to deal the most damage possible for each cycle.

There are also Fire Draugrs that will appear during the fight to harass you. Quickly pick them off to avoid attacks coming in from all sides while you try to stun the Ancient. When you kill the Ancient, you get a Seidr Sigil of Toughness enhancement that increases resistence to poson by 20%, plus all the Ancient parts for armors.

Back at Sindri’s shop, the dwarf will take the knife and attempt to track the Reavers down with magic. He gives you the Talisman of Betrayal for your trouble. This talisman allows you to slow down time while aiming your axe. It also increases throw damage during this slow motion.
